The IV DAC Cup, organized by DAC 1904, featured the FK Csíkszereda U13 team among its invited participants. In the two-day international tournament with six teams, our youngsters finished in fourth place, delivering competitive performances against strong opposition.

On Saturday, our team made an excellent start, defeating the hosts 2–0 thanks to a brace from Zsombor Gellér. This was followed by a goalless draw (0–0) against ETO FC Győr, and another balanced match against TSC Topolya, which also ended 0–0. At the end of the first day, three teams – FK Csíkszereda, FC Baník Ostrava and ETO – were level on points, while our side had not conceded a single goal.

On Sunday, we faced Aston Villa FC, where our players performed bravely and in an organized manner, but the English side secured a 2–0 victory. In the final match against Baník Ostrava, the opponent made better use of their chances and won 4–0. The Czech team eventually won the tournament, while FK Csíkszereda finished fourth.

Special recognition goes to Zsombor Gellér, who was selected for the tournament’s best XI.

At the end of the competition, head coach Hunor Tankó evaluated his team’s performance:
“In summary of the two days, I am very proud of my players. They played well, fought hard, and we managed to achieve several positive results in such a high-level tournament. I would highlight that physically we were not inferior in any match, we handled duels well, came out on top in most challenges, played at a good tempo, showed courage, and the players gave everything in every game” – said the coach.
