The spring tournament held this weekend marked the conclusion of the 6th edition of the Székely Land Football Championship for U13 girls. The five-team competition was won by the first team of FK Csíkszereda.
In October, during the autumn round, teams from Târgu Mureș and Sfântu Gheorghe competed alongside FK’s two squads, while the spring tournament took place last weekend on the artificial pitch next to the Erőss Zsolt Arena. Here are the results:

- Ladies Târgu Mureș – 1 + 3 = 4 pts
Head coach Szőcs Renáta summarized:
“We are very proud to have won the tournament. The team played with discipline, great determination, and fought for each other throughout the day, which brought the result. I would especially highlight the players’ attitude and team spirit. We were strong not only technically but also mentally, managing to stay calm in difficult situations. A lot of work stands behind this victory, and it is a joy to see that our efforts pay off. At the same time, this is just one step in our development—we must continue to work with humility and perseverance. We thank the organizers and our opponents for their fair play.”
Head of the women’s department and head coach of the senior Superliga team, Szeitl Szilvia, added:
“It was a great joy to see how many talented young girls play football in Székely Land. Thanks to the coaches and the players for the very good matches and the many goals we witnessed. It is especially pleasing that one of the Csíkszereda teams won the tournament, while the other earned a bronze medal. Congratulations to the coaches and the girls for their effective work!
