Our U11 team delivered an excellent performance at the 3rd edition of the Falcon Cup international tournament, held this weekend in Hajdúnánás (Hungary).

The 24 participating teams were divided into groups of six, with the top two advancing to the knockout stage for the medals. Coached by Incze Tibor and Szin Ferenc, our players remained unbeaten throughout both the group stage and the playoffs. However, a defeat in the semifinal meant they finished in third place. The team also received an individual accolade, as Antal Balázs was named the best player of the tournament.

“We took part in a very useful preparation tournament, and over the ten matches played in two days, the boys adapted very well to the grass pitch, which is less familiar to them. It is typical in children’s football that we convincingly beat the eventual winners in the group stage, but in the semifinal they proved to be the better side” – said coach Incze Tibor.
