With a confident and free-flowing performance, FK Csíkszereda wrapped up the Women’s Superleague regular season in style, recording a spectacular 12–0 win over Vasas Femina. In the Székely derby played at the Burus Csaba Sportpark, our team completely dominated from start to finish.
We controlled the match from the opening minute and took the lead in the 3rd: Erika Geréd’s precise shot found the right corner (1–0). In the 11th minute, Andrea Herczeg set up Jehona Shala for the second (2–0), and just four minutes later Ana Vlădulescu made it three (3–0). In the 18th minute, Shala headed home from an Annabelle Nombot cross (4–0), giving us a commanding half-time lead.
The second half continued in the same manner: Geréd completed her brace in the 55th minute (5–0), followed shortly by Nombot’s goal (6–0). In the final stages, we turned up the pressure even further as Tóbik, Fülöp, Nombot, Szőke and Mitri all found the net, sealing an emphatic 12–0 victory.

After the match, head coach Szeitl Szilvia expressed her satisfaction: – This match was very important for us, not only because it was a Székely derby but also because we wanted to bounce back after the defeat in Cluj. Our goal remains the championship title, and every win brings us closer – said the coach.
– I’m happy we scored so many goals, as it helps our goal difference and brings us level with Farul. In the playoff, every match is a must-win, regardless of our position – she added.
Szeitl also emphasized the importance of continued mental progress within the squad: – We still have work to do on our mentality, but I can see the determination and growth. When we are focused, we can beat anyone.
Erika Geréd, who scored twice and was named Player of the Year at FK Csíkszereda’s season-ending gala, shared her thoughts: – We wanted to make up for last week’s defeat, and I think we did just that. We showed what we are capable of, and I hope we can carry this form into the playoffs – said the midfielder.
– I was really surprised when my name was announced for the award, but it felt great. Many of my teammates would have deserved it as well, so I’m honored that the choice fell on me – she added.
