Omar El Sawy scored his first goal for UTA Arad. The Székely Land Football Academy graduate came on for Alin Roman in the 62nd minute of the away match against Farul before making it 4–2 in the 87th minute. The player, who recently joined UTA on loan from Rapid Bucharest, made his second appearance for the Arad side, having debuted in the previous round against his former club, FK Csíkszereda. El Sawy has so far played 48 minutes and scored once for UTA. His overall tally this season stands at seven league appearances, 122 minutes, one goal and one assist. The Arad side sit 13th in the Superliga with nine points after nine rounds.
Bödő Zoltán Efraim was given his most significant playing time for his new club to date in the Hungarian Cup. ETO FC secured a 5–1 away victory over Karcagi SC, with Bödő replacing Peter Agba at half-time and playing 44 officially recorded minutes. This was the second competitive appearance for the midfielder since his recent move from FK Csíkszereda to Győr. He made his debut a week earlier in the league match against Kispest-Honvéd. ETO sit second in the NB I with 12 points from seven matches.
Vajda Roland Ottó also played the full 90 minutes in his team’s Hungarian Cup tie. HR-Rent Kozármisleny earned a 3–1 away victory over Mátészalkai MTK and advanced to the next round of the competition. Vajda started the match and remained on the pitch throughout. He has accumulated 614 minutes in eight competitive appearances this season. Kozármisleny sit 16th in the NB II with three points after seven rounds.
Corbu Marius was rested by Ferencváros this week. Hungary’s record champions secured a 7–0 away victory over DEAC in the Hungarian Cup, with Corbu left out of the matchday squad. The midfielder, who developed at FK Csíkszereda, therefore remains on 14 competitive starts, 1,169 minutes and three goals this season. Ferencváros sit fifth in the NB I with 11 points from six matches.
Gyenge Szilárd watched Sepsi OSK’s league match against CFR Cluj from the bench. The Covasna County side won 3–1, with David Lazar once again preferred in goal. Gyenge has played a total of 210 minutes in two cup matches this season. Sepsi sit sixth in the Superliga with 13 points after nine rounds.
Puskás Akadémia recorded an 8–1 away victory over Mezőörsi KSE in the Hungarian Cup. Puskás Akadémia’s reserve team did not have a match during the period under review, meaning Bencze Lóránd did not feature either. Tamás Nándor was once again an unused substitute for KFC Komárno. His team drew 1–1 away to FK Železiarne Podbrezová (Zólyombrézó), with Tamás remaining on the bench throughout.
