The first half was fairly balanced, with few chances for either team. In the 33rd minute, Prezsmer fired over from the edge of the box, while just before halftime, Cătrinoi’s long-range effort went narrowly wide.
After the break, the home side took full control. In the 47th minute, Bíró’s powerful shot was tipped onto the bar by goalkeeper Pureca, and moments later, Máthé Apor broke free but couldn’t beat the keeper. Csíkszereda maintained pressure throughout the second half — Máthé’s 67th-minute shot was deflected wide, and in the 78th, Bódi volleyed Cătrinoi’s precise cross straight into the goalkeeper’s hands.
In the closing stages, FK threw everything forward. An own goal was narrowly avoided by the Poli defense in the 80th minute, while in stoppage time, the hosts missed three big chances: Vass’s shot was blocked, and Máthé went close twice — his last attempt from 15 meters drifting inches wide of the far post in the final action of the match.
