In rainy and unpleasant November weather, the two matches of the 2nd round of the Romanian Cup between FK Csíkszereda and FC Bacău (U15 and U16) were played on the artificial pitch behind the Márton Áron High School. The U16 team led by Bernát Burus scored once in each half through Miara and Bíró, conceding none, resulting in a comfortable win, giving their head coach a fine gift as well, as he is celebrating his birthday on Saturday.
The U15 match under coach Zoltán Fogarasi brought more excitement: the visitors were leading at halftime, but midway through the second half, goals from Matei and Boér turned the game around and secured all three points for us.
These were the final home fixtures of the year for both age groups; before the winter break, they still have one away trip left, next Saturday in Piatra Neamț, for the 3rd round of the cup.
