FK Csíkszereda’s Women’s Superliga team have begun their summer preparations with a restructured coaching staff and a significantly changed playing squad.

Péter Kollár, who previously managed the women’s team between 2023 and 2025, has returned as head coach for the new season. Szilamér Antal, who has also worked in the boys’ academy, has been appointed fitness coach, while Roland Barabási will assist with training sessions alongside his operational duties. A decision on the goalkeeping coach will be made at a later date.

Eleven players have left the squad, with seven new signings arriving so far from Hungary and other foreign leagues. Two academy players have also stepped up to the senior team. We have already begun introducing the new arrivals on our Facebook page, where supporters will be able to meet the other members of the squad over the coming days.

Preparations began with medical and physical assessments, followed by a three-day period focused on improving endurance. This week, the emphasis has shifted to ball work and speed endurance. On Friday, the team will travel to Hungary for a six-day training camp, where they will play friendly matches against Ferencváros and Budapest Honvéd FC. They are then scheduled to face opponents from Cluj-Napoca, Bistrița and Bačka Topola at home.

“We want to win both the league and the cup, while also playing the best football possible. On the European stage, our aim is naturally to progress to the next round,” said Péter Kollár.

The league season begins on 22 August, while our team will also compete in the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup. The draw for the European competition will take place in August.
