The delegation of Kispest Honvéd, the partner club of FK Csíkszereda, paid a charitable visit to Székelyföld. The program began with a professional meeting, followed by the handover of donations brought from Hungary at the parish in Csíkszentmárton.

The visit started at the headquarters of FK Csíkszereda, where the Budapest delegation was welcomed by sporting director Szilárd Cseke, followed by a short professional discussion between the representatives of the two clubs. Afterwards, the delegations travelled together to the parish in Csíkszentmárton, where the donations collected by Kispest Honvéd were received by parish priest László Czikó.

Attila Vatai, regional manager of the Kispest Honvéd Football Academy, spoke about the background of the initiative. “We organized this collection in Kispest for those in need, and we thought that part of the charity boxes should go to local organizations in Hungary, while the other part should be brought across the border. Through this action, we brought the heart of Kispest here to Székelyföld” – he said.

Vatai emphasized that the reception exceeded all expectations. “We received endless respect and affection. At gas stations, people noticed the Kispest crest, congratulated us, shook hands with us and hugged us. Some immediately recognized that we had come from Bozsik and Puskás’s club, so we received the same care and affection that we ourselves feel towards the people of Székelyföld” – he explained, recalling that FK Csíkszereda’s U15 team had recently visited Budapest for the Isa Gábor Memorial Tournament. “We shared wonderful experiences together, for example visiting the Hungarian Parliament as well” – he added.

Following the handover of the donations, parish priest László Czikó invited the delegations and members of the press to a short discussion, during which he expressed his gratitude for Honvéd’s gesture. “It meant a great deal to us that they thought of us and that such a wonderful team came, who even helped with unloading. This gesture will surely have a positive influence on children towards sport or football, as it does matter who brings these gifts. Once again, we are very thankful” – he emphasized.

Regarding the meeting, sporting director Szilárd Cseke highlighted the importance of the partnership between the sister clubs. He underlined that close cooperation is of key importance for FK Csíkszereda, and the club views Kispest Honvéd’s gesture with respect and gratitude, as a clear expression of unity and mutual respect.
