U11 | U12 | Kettős Interliga-győzelem Romanban

The winter Interliga competition continued this weekend in Roman for our U11 and U12 teams, with both squads returning home with victories.

U12

Our Interliga campaign continued in Roman against a tough opponent who enjoyed a significant physical advantage. This was clearly noticeable at the beginning of the match: our players started cautiously and with less confidence, which resulted in a 4–0 deficit in the first half. As the match progressed, however, the team managed to reorganize. Gradually, we adapted to the rhythm of the game, took on duels more bravely, and displayed increasingly organized, combinative football.

The attitude, fighting spirit, and mental strength shown in the second half were exemplary. The team believed in turning the match around and, with disciplined play and great determination, scored the winning goal in the final minute. We won the match 7–6, by a one-goal margin. This game was a positive confirmation that with the right mindset and courage, we can be successful even against physically stronger opponents – said coach Barabási Roland after the match.

The U11 team (photo) was coached in this match by Szin Ferenc:
“We achieved a hard-fought victory against LPS Roman. In the first half, our finishing left something to be desired, but in the second half our chances were converted, and the match ended with a large goal difference. The boys showed an exemplary attitude throughout the entire game, and the low-scoring first half did not break their confidence. I believe this is the most important positive takeaway from the match.”
The game ended with a 14–1 victory for FK.
