U18 | U17 Group winners in the Youth Cup, U17 sign off with victory

In the fifth round of the group stage of the Elite Cup and the Youth Cup, our U17 and U18 teams played away in Cluj-Napoca. The U18 side secured qualification to the quarter-finals of the Youth Cup as group winners, while the U17 team ended their Elite Cup campaign with a victory.

In the fifth round of the group stage of the Elite Cup and the Youth Cup, our U17 and U18 teams played away in Cluj-Napoca. The U18 side secured qualification to the quarter-finals of the Youth Cup as group winners, while the U17 team ended their Elite Cup campaign with a victory.

U18
For Goran Kopunović’s team, finishing top of the group was at stake. We took the lead in the first half through Polgár Denis in the 22nd minute. The hosts equalised late in the match, and the game ended 1–1. The result was enough for our team to finish first in the Western Group A and advance to the quarter-finals.

Szilárd Mitra’s team concluded their Elite Cup campaign with a win. The first half ended goalless, and after the break Tatu-Józsa Márk gave us the lead in the 55th minute. Late in the match Tóth Pál Milán doubled the advantage. The hosts pulled one back a minute before full-time, but it did not change the outcome of the match.

Superliga | Three mandatory points secured

Only one goal was scored in Monday’s match between Metaloglobus and FK, and fortunately it ended up in the Bucharest side’s net: after a hard-fought game, Eppel’s goal brought us the mandatory three away points.
